NX6830 Evolution Suede Base when mixed with Evolution Series Pigment Concentrates creates a special-effects ink that after curing has a surface that feels and looks like suede leather.
Mixing—For optimum results a 10% pigment load is recommended. While a maximum of 15% pigment concentrate can be added. Be aware that higher pigment loads will diminish the special effect and properties of the ink and could cause the prints to crock.
Mesh—Use 83-110/inch (32T-43T/cm) screen mesh.
Squeegee—70 durometer or 70/90/70 triple durometer squeegees are recommended
Stencils—Thick stencils produced with direct emulsions or capillary-type films produce the best results.
Printing Method—Squeegee pressure should be set so that the ink fully cleans from the screen and lays on top of the garment. Too much squeegee pressure will drive the ink into the fabric resulting in a poor foaming effect.
Curing—Because of the ink film thickness of prints made with NX6830 Suede Base it will take longer to fully cure than regular Evolution NX Series inks. A full cure is achieved at 300°-320°F (150°-160°C) for 1 ½ -2 minutes. Ink film should feel slightly raised as well as stretching, retracting and resisting rub-off after curing.
Ink Cleanup—Use Enviro Series 2000 Green or Enviro Series TR Blend.
Storage—NX6830 Suede Base or colours created with this base and pigment concentrates should be stored at temperatures less than 30°C/84°F. Extended storage in warmer conditions can cause inks to thicken.
Always test finished prints for color accuracy, curing, adhesion, opacity, crocking, stretch and desired look prior to beginning full production run. Lancer Group International cannot guarantee the results or back claims that this ink will test PVC-free or phthalate-free if any pigment or additive other than an Evolution Series Pigment Concentrate or an Evolution NX Series additive that has been manufactured by Lancer Group International is mixed in this ink. Contamination can also occur from mixing tools, mixing buckets, spatulas, squeegees, or flood bars that have had prior contact with inks containing PVC’s or phthalates and these tools must be thoroughly cleaned before using with the NX System.
