Excalibur’s 400FF Series is comprised of 12 standard colours that offer printers a high-opacity, high-elongation ink formulated to cure at a much lower temperature than traditional plastisols for direct printing on heat-sensitive fabrics that are prone to scorching and shrinking. The 451FF Series is a ready-for-use Color Mixing System consisting of 11 colors (including black and white) to mix and simulate any Pantone®, standard Excalibur colour or to create special custom colours. Formulas can be found on the ColorPro Mixing Software which is included free with the purchase of any Excalibur Color Mixing System. Both 400PF and 451PF can be used in the production of cold-peel transfers.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Lower cure temperature makes this ink an ideal choice when printing on heat-sensitive fabrics where fibers are subject to shrinking or burning..
- High-opacity formula covers dark backgrounds.
- High-elongation ink film makes 400FF and 451FF an excellent choice for garments made with lycra/spandex.
- Creamy, easy-printing consistency produces sharp, opaque prints on both manual and automatic presses.
- Completely phthalate-free and lead-free formulation complies with all standards of Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) banning phthalates and heavy metals in textile-printing inks.
- 451PF Color Mixing System to create Pantone® matches or to create custom colours.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Gel Temperature: Ink will surface gel at 220° F (105° C).
Curing: Prints will fully cure when the entire ink film reaches 285°F (140°C) for at least 15 seconds.
Heat Transfers: 400FF and 451FF can be used in printing cold peel transfers.
Mesh: For direct printing a 86-160/inch (32T-64Tcm) may be used.
Stencil: Any stencil compatible with plastisol inks may be used.
Modification: Because plastisol inks are thixotropic and can body up during storage always stir ink thoroughly prior to print or adding reducers. If necessary 501PF Curable Reducer may be added increase printability of ink and to help clean from the screen. CAUTION: Adding too much 501PF Curable Reducer will reduce opacity and bleed-resistance.
Squeegee: 70 durometer or 90/70/90 triple durometer blades are recommended.
Printing Techniques: A print/flash/print technique might be needed to achieve opacity on dark garments and to give prints on any color garment the durability to withstand cracking when stretched .
Clean-up: Use Enviro Series 2000 Green or Enviro Series TR Blend.

CAUTION
Always test finished prints for curing, adhesion and desired look prior to beginning full production runs. Lancer Group International cannot guarantee the results or back claims that this mixed ink will test phthalate-free if any additive other than an additive manufactured by Lancer Group International is used to modify this ink. Test results by a third-party laboratory verifying all components used to produce this ink are phthalate-free and lead-free are available upon request. Any color simulation mixed with 451FF Series Color Mixing Series should be evaluated for color accuracy and printing characteristics under daylight conditions on same colored substrate using like production techniques that will be used in actual production run.
