Aquabond® is a new technology water-based hot melt, adhesive that is screen printable and does not require messy or time consuming adhesive powders. Aquabond® is a one-part adhesive and provides excellent results when doing flock transfers and most types of transfers and fabrics.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Less mess because built-in adhesion eliminates the need to sprinkle with hot-melt powders
- Easy-printing viscosity produces excellent results on both manual and automatic machines.
- Completely PVC-free, phthalate-free and lead-free formulation complies with all standards of Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) banning phthalates and heavy metals in textile-printing inks.
Screen Mesh: 30-110inch (10T to 44T). Individual tests should be conducted to determine the thickness of adhesive required for particular application.
Stencil: Any water-proof direct emulsion.
Drying: For best results Aquabond® should be cured in an oven with forced, heated air. The forced air will completely evaporate the water contained in Aquabond® and allow the heat in the chamber to melt the particles forming a smooth film over the print or flock transfer paper.
Retarder: Add a maximum 5% by weight of Aqualife Retarder to Aquabond® if ink is drying in the screen causing screen blocking, or if necessary to slow down the drying time
Cleanup: Wash with water immediately after printing. If necessary soap may be used to clean any difficult areas that readily do not wash out with tap water.
Transferring: Set transfer machine at 375° F/ 190° C, medium pressure and peel transfer from substrate after cooling completely.
Always test finished prints for curing, adhesion, opacity, and desired look prior to beginning full production runs. Lancer Group International cannot guarantee the results or back claims that this ink will test PVC-free or phthalate-free if any additive other than an additive manufactured by Lancer Group International is used to modify this ink.
