NX6582 Fast-Flash White

Evolution NX6582 Fast-Flash White is a new generation faster-flashing white in the reformulated Evolution NX System of PVC-free textile inks. Fast-Flash White reduces the flash time by as much as ½ when compared to NX6581 Optical White thus increasing production. While this white was formulated to be used as an underbase it has the same appearance as the Optical White so if a customer only wants to inventory one white ink Fast-Flash White can be used as a stand-alone and highlight white also.

 

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Mesh—110 to 355 t/in. (43 to 140 t/cm.) mesh is recommended. A print/flash/print technique may be required or even multiple white screens with flashes after each to reach desired opacity and fiber matte down for underbase, standalone and highlight whites.

Stencil—Any stencil compatible with plastisol inks.

Gel Temperature—NX6582 Fast-Flash White gels when the surface of the ink reaches 220º -240º Fahrenheit/110º-120ºCelsius. Even though this is the same gel temperature as NX6581 Optical White, depending upon the flash cure unit, temperature and distance between the heat and substrate, gel time could be reduced by as much as ½ when compared to the flash times of NX6581 Optical White.

Curing—When printing on 100% cotton fabrics NX6581 Optical White fully cures when the entire ink film reaches 310°-320° F (155°- 160° C) for 45 seconds to 1 minute inside the dryer. Evolution NX6582 Fast-Flash White does not offer any bleed-resistance. On dark-coloured 50/50 cotton/poly blends or 100% polyester fabrics dye migration may be controlled by lowering dryer temperature to 275° Fahrenheit (135°-137° Celsius) for two minutes. However, if printed on dark-coloured 50/50 cotton/poly blends or 100% polyester fabrics known for dye migration should be underbased with the appropriate Evolution Defender dye blocker.

Modification—Prior to filling screen with ink NX6582 Fast-Flast White should be thoroughly stirred to break down any false body that has built up during storage. If necessary small amounts (1-3% maximum) of NX6390 Viscosity Reducer may be added till desired viscosity is attained.

Print Technique—Because of the lower viscosity of inks in the Evolution NX System multiple white screens may be necessary with flashes between each screen to achieve desired results.

Ink Cleanup—Use Enviro Series 2000 Green or Enviro Series TR Blend.

Storage—Store at temperatures less than 30°C/84°F. Extended storage in warmer conditions can cause inks to thicken.

Always test finished prints for color accuracy, curing, adhesion, opacity, crocking, stretch and desired look prior to beginning full production runs. Lancer Group International cannot guarantee the results or back claims that this ink will test PVC-free or phthalate-free if any pigment or additive other than an Evolution Pigment Concentrate or Evolution NX System additive that has been manufactured by Lancer Group International is used in this ink. Contamination can also occur from mixing tools, mixing buckets, spatulas, squeegees, or flood bars that have had prior contact with inks containing PVC’s or phthalates and these tools must be thoroughly cleaned before using with the NX System.
